Understanding your Conditional Admissions to CSUDH: Your conditional offer is dependent on meeting all enrollment deadlines and admissions requirements by the:

  • End of Summer 2024 for a Spring 2025 start term
  • End of Spring 2025 for a Fall 2025 start term

Next Steps Towards Admissions

STEP 1: Setup Student Account

Your student account is an online service used by CSUDH applicants to check the status of their admissions application. You must set up your student account first in order to know your admissions status. You will need your Student ID number, which you can find on your application acknowledgement email notification.

Go to Find MyCSUDH and enter the required information to obtain your username.

  • Full Name (First and Last Name)
  • Username
  • Student ID Number
  • Date of Birth (Day and Month only)

Register your phone (first time), then set up your email, and your security questions. Log in
to the SSPR portal.

STEP 2: How to Login and Navigate your myCSUDH portal 
  • Go to myCSUDH
  • Log in and navigate to the Applicant Tab to view your current Admissions Status.
  • Review your To Do List and determine which official transcripts you must send to the Office of Admissions.
STEP 3: Log in to Your Toromail (CSUDH Email)

Avoid missing important information by checking ToroMail, your official CSUDH email account. All official communications related to your Financial Aid offer, New Student Orientation, and more are sent to ToroMail & personal email. 

To check your email, visit mail.toromail.shushijia.net and enter your CSUDH username and password. This is the same login information that you used to access MyCSUDH.

STEP 4: Apply for Financial Aid

Spring 2025 & Fall 2025 Admissions

Apply for financial aid for the 2025-26 academic year by April 2, 2025. Visit studentaid.gov to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Complete the FAFSA form to be considered for all types of state and federal aid, such as grants, work-study, loans, and some scholarships. Visit dream.csac.ca.gov to complete the California Dream Act Application. The California Dream Act allows undocumented & nonresident students who qualify for a non-resident exemption under Assembly Bill 540 (AB 540) to receive certain types of Financial Aid.

Check your To Do List on the MyCSUDH Student Center and submit any documents needed
to determine your eligibility by the posted deadline. If your financial aid has been determined, an email will be sent to your ToroMail. Follow the instructions listed on the offer email to confirm your financial aid for the 2024-2025 & 2025-2026 academic school year (Spring 2025 and Fall 2025). 

STEP 5: Submit Your Intent to Enroll

Accept admission and submit the non-refundable $125 Intent to Enroll Deposit on your
student portal by:

  • December 6, 2024, for Spring 2025 start term
  • May 1, 2025, for Fall 2025 start term

This deposit will be applied to your start-term tuition.

STEP 6: Register for New Student Orientation

Register and pay the non-refundable $99 New Student Orientation (NSO) Fee by:

  • December 6, 2024, for Spring 2025 start term
  • May 1, 2025, for Fall 2025 start term

Orientation dates are by academic college, and payment must be cleared in order to secure your spot. NSO is a mandatory in-person enrollment requirement so check your schedule before selecting a date.

STEP 7: Apply for Housing (Optional)

If you are interested in living on campus, please submit the $30 housing application beginning March 27, 2025. Only students who have submitted their Intent to Enroll Deposit and paid for New Student Orientation are eligible to apply for housing, because housing is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is no guarantee that housing will be available if you wait until May 1 to submit the Intent to Enroll Deposit and register for New Student Orientation.

STEP 8: Complete Directed Self-Placement - Fall 2025 Only

Directed Self-Placement (DSP) is not a test. It includes reading two brief articles, writing a brief essay in response, and then taking a survey in which, you answer a short series of questions about your reading and writing habits. The survey will recommend which First Year Composition (FYC) course might best suit your needs, but you make the final course selection.

Log in to Canvas and complete DSP by June 1, 2025. For more information, please visit shushijia.net/dsp.

STEP 9: Submit Final Transcripts

Submit your final official transcripts and documents by:

October 15, 2024, for Spring 2025 start term
June 30, 2025, for Fall 2025 start term

To qualify for enrollment and financial aid, you must submit your final official high school transcript with your graduation date. For information on how to submit electronic transcripts, please visit shushijia.net/future-students/admitted/final-transcripts. 

Admission decisions are based on self-reported information from your admission application. All students are conditionally admitted pending review of official transcripts to confirm that all eligibility requirements have been met. Please review your To Do List regularly to confirm the Office of Admissions has received the official transcripts and has been removed from your To Do List.

The following must be met in order to ensure your admission is not revoked, even if you meet all other requirements and have registered for classes:

  • Complete Senior year courses as indicated on your admission application
  • Maintain an overall admissible GPA
  • Meet all enrollment deadlines
